Apple Mixed Reality Headset Expected to Launch Before WWDC 2023
Reports have surfaced online which suggests that the Apple Mixed Reality headset will be launching soon, ahead of WWDC 2023.
Apple Mixed Reality Headset Coming Soon
According to Bloomberg’s Power On podcast host Mark Gurman, the Apple Mixed Reality headset is expected to launch sometime in the Spring of 2023, potentially making an announcement before the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) which usually occurs in June.
However, based on this schedule, the release date for the AR/VR wearable would be no earlier than Fall 2023, which may or may not align with the launch of a new iPhone.
Apple is said to be working on a custom operating system called xrOS and is providing early access to a number of prominent software developers to create the first wave of third-party apps. The device is expected to be called Apple Reality Pro, and it will be targeted primarily at businesses, developers, and power users.
Pokdepinion: If true, this would have come a lot sooner than expected. I’m guessing that it might have something to do with having more announcements related to it saved for WWDC 2023 instead.
