HP-owned HyperX has announced a new line-up of gaming-focused audio peripherals, including the new Cloud Alpha 2 Wireless, Cloud Flight 2, CloudX Flight 2 headsets, as well as the FlipCast and SoloCast 2 microphones.

HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 & Cloud Flight 2

First up is the successor of the venerable Cloud Alpha: the HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 – now a wireless-capable headset – features 53mm dual-chamber drivers with spatial audio support and up to 250 hours of battery life in 2.4GHz mode; besides 2.4GHz, it can also simultaneously connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth. The headset also brings a dedicated RGB base station, which comes with a few programmable buttons, macros, and of course, RGB lighting.

Next up is the new Cloud Flight 2 headset is aimed at PC, PlayStation and mobile users: this new headset now features RGB panels on both sides, with removable earcup plates being the main customization aspect of this headset (it seems like this headset is quite repairable, too). Like the new Alpha 2 headset, it is also a wireless headset, with a rated 150 hours battery life. Note that HyperX also introduced a dedicated model for Xbox called CloudX Flight 2, which shares the exact same specs as the model without ‘X’ in its name.

HyperX Microphones

On the microphone side of things, HyperX has also introduced the FlipCast and Solocast 2: the former is a dynamic microphone with both USB and XLR connectivity for streaming and recording use, with pro-friendly features including beveled input level meter, tap-to-mute function, and a multifunction dial; of course, RGB lighting is included too. As for the latter, it connects via USB only, with a built-in shock mount and pop filter ready to go as soon as you connect it into your PC.

We don’t have any info on local availability yet, but here’s the US pricing: the HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 Wireless costs US$299.99, while the HyperX Cloud Flight 2 and CloudX Flight 2 is priced US$129.99 and US$139.99 respectively. As for the microphones, the FlipCast costs US$229.99 apiece, while the SoloCast 2 is available at US$59.99.

Pokdepinion: As a proud owner of Cloud Alpha myself, I do want to see how good Cloud Alpha 2 is.
