Previously available only for Microsoft’s business partners as well as developers, now the company has made their HoloLens 2 available for purchase at a huge price of $3500 (~RM14,964)

Microsoft HoloLens 2

The headset includes a carrying case, Type-C charger, straps, as well as forehead sizes for different sizes. It seems that the HoloLens 2 will only be available to online customers, where previously you can only get it through a special developers program or an official reseller. Sadly the headset is not available in the country here in Malaysia.

With the HoloLens 2, it comes with eye-tracking feature, where it not only lets you see UI elements but also gives developers a look to where you are seeing to better optimize AR applications.

For the display, there’s support up to 2K and there’s a total of 7 cameras in the headset to track your head, eye, and giving you a depth view.

It has 5 channels for its microphone and comes with a built-in spatial sound speaker. They claim that it can last up to 2-3 hours on a single charge. The headset itself weighs in at 566 gram.

Other than that, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 chipset, 4GB RAM that’s paired with 64GB UFS 2.1 storage, and it comes with Bluetooth 5 connectivity.

Pokdepinion: Well, I definitely can’t afford this, even if it makes its way here to Malaysia.
