Renowned tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has once again captured the attention of Apple enthusiasts with fresh insights into the highly anticipated Apple Watch Ultra 3. According to Kuo, the successor of Apple’s premier smartwatch is slated to make its official debut at the company’s annual fall event, likely scheduled for September. This revelation marks a significant departure from previous reports, including one from Kuo himself last October, which suggested the absence of an Ultra 3 release in the current year.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 Not Getting Much Upgrades?

For enthusiasts hoping for groundbreaking hardware enhancements over its predecessor, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 unveiled in 2023, Kuo’s latest insights may come as a disappointment. According to the analyst, the upcoming Ultra 3 is expected to see “almost no” hardware upgrades this year, signaling a departure from the trend of significant advancements in successive iterations of Apple’s flagship wearable.

In contrast to the subdued upgrades expected for the Ultra 3, the forthcoming Apple Watch X, or Apple Watch Series 10, is poised to introduce notable enhancements. Anticipated features include a sleeker profile with a thinner case design and the integration of magnetic bands for enhanced usability. Moreover, the Apple Watch X is rumored to incorporate advanced health monitoring capabilities, such as blood pressure sensing and sleep apnea detection, features that are expected to transcend to the Apple Watch Ultra 3. However, despite these advancements, the Ultra 3’s design is speculated to remain largely unchanged from its predecessor, the Ultra 2.

In addition to the flagship Ultra 3 and the anticipated Apple Watch X Series 10, Kuo suggests the possibility of a third-generation Apple Watch SE making its debut at the fall event. Should Apple adhere to its established two-year upgrade cycle for the budget-friendly model, the introduction of a refreshed Apple Watch SE alongside its premium counterparts seems increasingly plausible.

As anticipation mounts for Apple’s fall event, enthusiasts await further developments and official announcements regarding the highly anticipated Apple Watch Ultra 3 and its accompanying lineup. Stay tuned for comprehensive coverage and insights as the unveiling approaches.

Pokdepinion: Can’t say I’m surprised but for the people who own the existing Watch Ultra, money likely will not be an issue to upgrade to the newer one for whatever reason.
