Battlefield 2042 Development May Be Facing Problems
One of the most highly anticipated games coming up is Battlefield 2042. Unfortunately, the game may be facing some development issues behind the scenes and here’s what we know thus far.
Battlefield 2042 Development Problems
As many of you may know by now, Battlefield 2042 is supposed to have a Technical Play Test last month but it was since pushed back to this month. This was said to be done to implement cross-play functionality. Given that Hazard Zone is free to play, cross-play would be a fundamental aspect, so why was it not included from the start?
This, combined together with the fact that details surrounding the game is still scarce, seems to symbolize a messy developmental scene at EA. When compared to to the timeline leading up to the launch of its predecessor, Battlefield V, we would have already seen a couple of trailers and had a chance to play the Alpha. With this, we only had about 6 seconds of combat at best.
Assuming there will be no delays, the Battlefield 2042 Technical Play Test will happen in August 2021 but there will be a strict NDA so we won’t be seeing or hearing about the game soon. This would likely point towards September 2021 in order to learn more about the game.
For now, it’s hard to say whether there will be surprises coming our way on the game, regardless of whether it’s good or bad. We will just have to wait and see for now. Battlefield 2042 will be coming to the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC on 22nd October 2021.
Pokdepinion: I am very worried we might get a buggy mess when the game is out. In fact, a sudden announcement of a delay would be good news to me. Well, no use worrying for now and best to wait and see for ourselves.
