The first part of the Genshin Impact 2.1 leak comes from UBatcha, there will be around 20 different types of fish coming in the update, with each type having two variants. The reason for the two variants is because they will either be sent to the Serenitea Pot Inventory or the materials section of your inventory. Ornamental fishes are said to be hard to catch compared to the normal variants.
The second part comes from data miner Honey Impact, which suggests that miHoYo has put some emphasis on baits as well. Different baits will be more suitable for different types of fish. There will also be various fishing spots that you can find in the world, most likely pointing that different spots will be ideal for specific types of fish.
Genshin Impact is currently available for free on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, and PC. A Nintendo Switch port of the game coming in the near future.
