Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0 Launches June 6 With New Region, Characters, And Xbox Release

HoYoverse has announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0 “Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn” will release on June 6. The update marks the beginning of Season 2 and the game’s official launch on Xbox Series consoles and Xbox Cloud Gaming – Xbox players can now claim the exclusive Starter Pack by pre-ordering ahead of the release.

ZZZ version 2.0 introduces the Waifei Peninsula, a new region in New Eridu, where players will encounter a fresh storyline, characters, and expanded gameplay features. Set in the district’s central area of Failume Heights, the new content includes the management of the Suibian Temple, allowing players to upgrade facilities and earn in-game resources by dispatching Bangboos and completing missions.

Combat in the newly introduced Lemnian Hollow will be affected by the presence of Miasma, causing certain enemies to enter enhanced states with additional abilities and shields. To assist in countering these threats, new agents will join the roster, including Yixuan, an S-Rank Void Hunter with Auric Ink attributes and dual Ultimate modes, and Ju Fufu, an S-Rank Fire Stun Agent who grants team-wide damage boosts. Additional recruits include Pan Yinhu, a Physical Defense Agent, and Belion, an S-Rank Bangboo.

Gameplay enhancements include updates to Hollow Zero: Lost Void with new commissions, gear customization features for Agents, and a redesigned 3D map with Fissure Beacons that enable HP restoration, fast travel, and revives. Proxies can also access the Gravitational Attraction event in Lumina Square, allowing character interactions through in-game cinema sequences, and the Soul of Steel: Golden Bond event featuring mech combat scenarios.

New players who complete Season 1 Chapter 2 Interlude can directly access Season 2 content. In celebration of the game’s first anniversary, Version 2.0 will offer in-game rewards, including one selectable S-Rank Agent and W-Engine from the Stable Channel, 1,600 Polychromes, 20 Encrypted Master Tapes, 10 Boopons, a limited-time title and avatar, and new character outfits.
