If you were a kid during the golden era of Windows 95 to XP, you most likely has experienced the glorious Space Cadet Pinball that comes pre-installed in every copy of the aforementioned operating systems from Microsoft. If you want to relive the game, now you can do so from any Android smartphone.

Space Cadet Pinball On Android

Space Cadet Pinball has been ported in many places, most of them available on the web which you can get to by a quick Google search – though this Android port might just be the first ever listed on Google Play Store (with 50,000+ downloads at the time of writing). According to developer Kyle Sylvestre, it offers the same experience just like you’ve had many years ago, meaning no ads, no in-app purchases, no annoyances. Pure bliss.

Since we’re dealing with touchscreens here, the controls are different, although still very intuitive. Simply touch the two halves of the screen to trigger the flap on its respective side, and during game start, tap and hold the screen to stage the pinball’s launch. There is some additional features baked in specific to this version, such as Google Play leaderboard to compare scores online, although the cheats aren’t available (yet) to maintain the integrity of the scores.

In 2020, the game was successfully reverse-engineered by developer Muzychenko Andrey and is exactly the reason why it is now available practically everywhere on the web. Besides this Android port, Sylvestre is apparently working on an iOS port as well, although that is still a work-in-progress for now.

Pokdepinion: Time to relive this classic.
