Palworld Online adapts the original PC survival and creature-collecting title for mobile platforms, incorporating a new narrative setting with original story elements while expanding the game into a massively multiplayer online (MMO) format. The game will feature a seamless, interconnected open world in which players interact with creatures called “Pals”.

The game includes an open world designed for exploration and creature collection, allowing players to move through an interconnected map with their Pals while uncovering lore, treasures and challenges. Garena stated that the mobile version will include new side stories developed specifically for Palworld Online, in addition to the original narrative and lore from the franchise.

Palworld Online also includes co-op and competitive multiplayer systems – players can form groups, build shared settlements and take part in PvE and PvP activities. The game allows players to visit other players’ bases, fight bosses together in the open world, and search for rare Pals as a group. Survival and crafting mechanics are set within a shared environment, and players can build a shared base that functions as a hub for crafting, defense and daily activities, with structures that can be expanded and Pals that can be assigned to automate production and protect the settlement.

Garena said the game has been optimized for mobile devices, featuring a touch-based interface with optional one-tap controls, which should simplify functions like base planning, construction, relocation and Pal deployment across a range of smartphones.
