Honor of Kings Introduces New Hero Dyadia And Gameplay Features In Major Update

Level Infinite have announced the first major update for Honor of Kings – the new content includes a new hero, gameplay modes, and a new season, plus some under-the-hood improvements.

New Hero: Dyadia

The latest hero, Dyadia, brings a different dynamic to the support role: Bitter Farewell is an ability that marks opposing Marksmen, dealing magic damage and earning her gold every second for five seconds; when the effect concludes, it inflicts additional damage. Dyadia can further support teammates through Heartlink, which restores health and boosts movement speed, offering strategic advantages in battles.

Events & Gamemodes

Additionally, players can participate in Friday Frenzy, a new event launching on September 27, running every Friday thereafter. A total of five events offer various in-game rewards, including skins, bonus privileges in premade ranked matches, and special discounts on skins (details are available on HoK’s social media channels).

Honor of Kings is also bringing a new gameplay mode, Mechcraft Veteran, available from now until October 22. This time-limited roguelite mode allows players to engage in PvE encounters, choosing one of seven heroes to battle through 25 levels. Players can create unique builds with a variety of weapon types and equipment, challenging them to defeat distinct monsters within 20-minute encounters.

The game also enters a new season titled Architect of Fate, featuring monthly battlefield updates. The season begins in October with Spirit of the Gorge, introducing the Spirit Banish hero skill and an enhanced Jungle Vision Spirit.

Segmented Downloads

In response to community feedback, Honor of Kings is now adopting segmented downloads, allowing players to manage installation sizes more easily. Following a 280MB system update, additional content can be downloaded in segments based on player preference, which should help in environments where internet connection or storage spaces are sub-optimal.
