YouTube Playables Feature Unveiled for Premium Subscribers, Offering Arcade Games

YouTube Playables stands as a dedicated section within the YouTube app or desktop site, offering users the opportunity to play a variety of arcade games. Some Premium subscribers are already receiving notifications to enable Playables through their settings.

With the introduction of the Playables tab, users can access 37 games, including popular titles like Angry Birds Showdown. The convenience lies in the fact that there’s no need for downloads—all the games run seamlessly on the desktop browser or the mobile YouTube app.

This move follows a similar strategy employed by Netflix, though its success remains to be seen. Even YouTube is taking a cautious approach, making YouTube Playables available until March 28, 2024. The platform plans to evaluate the feature’s reception before deciding on its permanence beyond that date. Premium subscribers can now enjoy a gaming experience alongside ad-free content, marking a noteworthy enhancement to the YouTube Premium service.
