The hackers in Elden Ring are getting regular players banned, but the method of doing so is certainly on the strange side of things.

Elden Ring Hackers Doing Weird Things Again

Hackers have somehow gotten their hands on unobtainable items, but that’s not the crazy part. They have been distributing these items to other players in the multiplayer portion of Elden Ring, resulting in a number of innocent players getting banned.

Basically, the anti-cheat system in Elden Ring detects these illegal items within the inventories of players and subsequently ban them from the game’s multiplayer mode. It can be hard to tell as some of these illegal items look either legitimate or something generally useful, but players should exercise caution when picking up items in PvP.

One such item is Brave’s Cord Circlet, which is part of a four-piece Brave’s Set equipment that was cut from the game. Another item is Deathbed Smalls, which was apparently later discovered to be the undergarments of an NPC named Fia.

An Elden Ring player who clocked 200 hours into the game was banned after picking up Deathbed Smalls, and Bandai Namco customer support told them to delete all of their game files to avoid getting the 180-day suspension. In update 1.04, they have fixed a bug that allowed these illegal items to be shared with other players but it looks like some people have found workarounds for this.

Elden Ring is currently available for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC.

Pokdepinion: If you find any of these suspicious items in your inventory, just delete it as soon as possible. If you still get banned anyway, contact Bandai Namco customer support as soon as you can.
