I’m sure many of you are currently having a blast playing Final Fantasy 7 Remake in the comforts of your own home. In fact, I myself am playing it right now so you can expect a review to come out sooner or later. For those of you on PC, the game might still be coming your way.

In the latest video featuring game producer Yoshinori Kitase, they wanted to thank gamers for their patience and support leading up to the game’s release. When they were showing gameplay footage of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, a disclaimer at the bottom shows “gameplay captured on PC”.

Does It Really Mean that Final Fantasy 7 Remake PC Version is Real?

Final Fantasy VII Remake Materia Expected to Have Changes

This could mean one of two things. The first is that a Final Fantasy 7 Remake PC version is indeed in development right now. The other possibility is that it’s simply a development build that is running on PC. However, the part that says to play first on the PS4 in the video makes it seem more likely that a PC version is coming.

From what we know thus far, the game is a timed-exclusive for the PlayStation 4 as opposed to a permanent one. It will be exclusive for one year, so the earliest we can see the PC version, if it is indeed being developed right now, is 11th April 2021. Do not take this as the official release date however, as it’s just calculation based on the PS4 release date and the exclusivity period.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is currently available exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
