Hogwarts Legacy, the wizarding RPG developed by Avalanche Studios, has been a commercial success since its release. However, despite many players finishing the game and hoping for additional content, there are no current plans for DLC. Game director Alan Tew told IGN Fan Fest that the studio was focused on preparing Hogwarts Legacy for its full release and did not have time to work on extra content.

It’s important to note that Avalanche Studios may still support Hogwarts Legacy post-launch, as the game has already received updates addressing bug fixes and performance issues. While it’s disappointing that additional content isn’t planned for the near future, it’s understandable given the amount of content already included in the game.

Despite lacking the Harry Potter IP, Hogwarts Legacy received a positive reception, with its concurrent player count peaking at 879,308 on Steam, making it the most concurrent player count for a single-player game, behind Cyberpunk 2077. The game also broke records for the most streams of a single player game with 1.28 million during its early access launch. The success of the game has even led to the release of a Hogwarts Legacy-themed DualSense controller decorated with the golden motifs of Ancient Magic.

While some players have suggested that without the Harry Potter IP, Hogwarts Legacy would be just another standard RPG, it’s clear that the game has achieved great success in its own right. Currently available on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, the game has already made its mark in the gaming world.

Pokdepinion: Well, if I’m expecting anything, I’d say Christmas this year would be a good time. Even then, that would be the earliest I would expect anything if the developers will actually plan for DLC content.
