HoYoverse has announced that Version 2.5 of Honkai: Star Rail, titled “Flying Aureus Shot to Lupine Rue,” will be released on September 10. This update will bring new events, challenges, and characters to the Xianzhou Luofu storyline. Here’s the trailer:

The update introduces the Wardance ceremony and new five-star characters, including Feixiao, the General of the Xianzhou Yaoqing, and Lingsha, a Cauldron Master from the Alchemy Commission. Feixiao will play a key role in the storyline, leading her troops to capture escaped criminals and secure the Luofu following a prison break in The Shackling Prison. Lingsha is known for her ability to summon an incense beast that assists in battle, while Moze, a four-star Shadow Guard, marks enemies for focused attacks and deals additional damage in combat.
In addition to the new characters, the update will feature new events, including the Luminary Wardance, where players can participate in activities to earn rewards such as the pet Tuskpir. The update will also introduce the “Echo of War: Inner Beast’s Battlefield,” a new challenge where players will face off against Feixiao and other adversaries.
A special Warp Event will coincide with the release, featuring reruns of limited five-star characters, including Robin, Black Swan, Kafka, and Topaz. The Warp count for obtaining these characters will be shared across rerun and current limited banners, with no reset for switching between them.
