HoYoverse has confirmed the release of Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0, titled “Paean of Era Nova,” on 15 January 2025. This update introduces Amphoreus, a new world shrouded in mystery and chaos, marking the start of the game’s most extensive story arc, spanning Versions 3.0 to 3.7 (split in two parts).

The narrative follows the Trailblazer and the Astral Express as they arrive in Amphoreus, a world isolated from the universe and governed by divine Titans. Amphoreus is on the brink of collapse due to a mysterious force called the “black tide” and conflicts among its deities – players will navigate the Holy City of Okhema, humanity’s last refuge, and embark on a mission with the Chrysos Heirs to reclaim the Coreflames of the Titans and restore balance to the world.
Version 3.0 introduces new gameplay features including three expansive maps: the Abyss of Fate, Okhema, and Castrum Kremnos; players will explore the ruins of the Abyss, uncover the secrets of Okhema’s Marmoreal Palace, and battle the Strife Titan in Castrum Kremnos. A new mechanism, the Hand of Zagreus, aids exploration by allowing players to lift objects, clear paths, and engage enemies strategically.
The update also adds two new 5-star characters. The Herta, an Ice-type Erudition character, specializes in AoE damage and tactical stack management. As for Remembrance character Aglaea, she introduces synchronized attacks with her memosprite companion Garmentmaker. Other than that, Special Warp events will feature reruns of limited 5-star characters, including Lingsha, Feixiao, and Jade, alongside new customization options like March 7th’s Preservation outfit, available during the update period.
