PS Plus Video Pass Might Be Coming Soon 25

As many of you may know, PS Plus has been a rather important component in the PlayStation ecosystem. It gives you free games on a monthly basis and it’s needed for online play in most games. Now, we may be looking at a new addition to it in the form of the PS Plus Video Pass.

It appears that Sony Interactive Entertainment is adding a new, non-gaming component to their PS Plus subscription service and it’s called the PS Plus Video Pass. Information came from Sony directly, whop published and quickly removed the logo for it.

According to information listed with the logo, it’s said to be a “new benefit available for a limited time on PlayStation Plus”. It may have something to do with a video service which they will be ending later this year in August.

At the moment, what the PS Plus Video Pass service will entail is still a mystery. In fact, we’re not sure if it will be included together with the main subscription service or if it will be a separate thing altogether. Then there’s also the matter of what video content will be available as part of the service. Given that they now own Funimation and Crunchyroll, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see content from those platforms here.

While the PlayStation brand has a strong presence in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, there is no guarantee that the feature will be made available in the aforementioned places. For now, we can only hope for the best and wait to see if PlayStation Asia will announce it here.

Pokdepinion: If this ends up being a treasure trove of anime, I would immediately subscribe even if they charge extra for it. Most importantly, I hope they have the latest episodes with ongoing series being updated as soon as it airs.
