Just recently, ASUS’ CEO Jerry Shen had stepped down from the company, there’s been concerns on whether the company would discontinue their ZenFone line after the announcement that they will be focusing more on AIoT, gaming, and power users instead. To clear all doubts, ASUS has released a statement to clarify the issue:

With regard to doubts raised by some on the continuation of the ZenFone brand, we confirm that we will continue to develop the ZenFone series, while also aiming to expand the gaming smartphone market. We will focus on perfecting solutions for gamers and power users.

The statement was released to Gadgets 360, where it has confirmed that they will indeed continue on releasing ZenFones in the future.

Just recently, ASUS released their brand new ZenFone, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 to Malaysia. If you’d like to learn more on the device, you can check out our full hands-on review here.

Pokdepinion: Well thank god for this. I can’t imagine what would happen if they didn’t release ZenFones in the future. It will definitely mean more devices will be coming out for us. It’s good to have options.
