Malaysia will be competing against other powerhouse nations such as China, Spain, United States, Thailand, Taiwan, and South Korea.

“We are excited to be part of this tournament which is primarily run by GSA eSports Clubs in Malaysia. The students play a big role in the gaming community and we can’t wait to see gamers and influencers share this journey from Malaysia to Stockholm together.” Ren Hu, ROG representative

Coming back to the GSA tournament, a total of 32 universities across Malaysia will be participating in two main events, which are League of Legends and EA Sports Fifa Online 3 (FO3). Each university will be limited in sending 4 teams only for League of Legends and 16 individuals for FO3.

There is a lot at stake for the students as the overall champions will walk away with a cash prize and partial scholarships to pursue their studies. Our primary objective is to educate the students through hands-on experience and hope the Malaysian campus scene becomes the pioneer region for Southeast Asia. Chun Jan Bong, GSA Coordinator.

For those of you who don’t know, GSA was established in April 2017 which was built to empower passionate student gamers to build a gaming community that thrives and also to create a healthy eSports scene in campus.
