ASUS Republic of Gamers is the exclusive hardware sponsor of the League of Legends 2017 Rift Rivals tournament to be held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The Taiwanese hardware manufacturer is sponsoring 90 gaming PCs as part of the Powered by ASUS program which will be on display as well as used by the competitors during the Rift Rivals tournament.

The tournament will see fierce competition between teams from the LoL Champions Korea (LCK), LoL Pro League (LPL) and LoL Master Series (LMS) divisions as they strive to be the top dog at LoL 2017 Rift Rivals. ROG-sponsored teams like SK Telecom T1, ahq e-Sports Club and J Team will also be there to show off their prowess.

ASUS ROG will also be showcasing their latest ROG Zephyrus, the world’s slimmest gaming laptop, ROG Strix Hero Edition gaming notebook, designed for intense MOBA gaming and the ROG PG248Q, a competition-grade gaming monitor, designed for eSports.

In the battle for glory, nothing can stand in the way, especially not hardware limitations. Which is why ASUS will be providing the gamers with the ASUS Prime Z270-AR motherboards and ASUS Dual Series GeForce GTX 1070 OC edition graphics card to ensure that the gamers cannot blame the hardware if they falter in their rush to the top.

To watch the teams duke it out LIVE on ASUS hardware, go to the Riot Games Twitch page.

Pokdepinion: With eSports being an increasingly big thing, gaining more exposure by sponsoring tournaments like this is definitely a great idea. The gamers will also get to use the best hardware for battling it out in the Summoner’s Rift. It’s a win-win, I guess?
