ASUS ZenFone 6 defies ordinary with a 3.5mm jack and triple slot SIM tray
It feels surreal that having a 3.5mm jack is now actually newsworthy. But yes, the ASUS ZenFone 6 will be one of the few flagships featuring a Snapdragon 855 and yet maintain a 3.5mm jack and also a triple slot SIM tray. This means it will have full support for dual-SIM configurations and expandable storage.
While these features are mainstays in mid-range devices, power users who need more horsepower in the palms of their hands are often forced to settle for hybrid dual-SIM setups. And don’t get me started on the audio jack. Why would a non-Pro variant of a certain smartphone have it, while the “Pro” variant drop it?

The ASUS ZenFone 6 is shaping up to be an interesting flagship, with it expected to feature a bezel-less display, which means it will either sport a slider or a popup selfie camera. The ASUS ZenFone 6 is expected to be offered in the following configurations with their respective prices:
- 6GB + 128GB: NT$19 990 (~RM2680)
- 8GB + 256GB: NT$23 990 (~RM3217)
- 12GB + 512GB: NT$ 29 990 (~RM4022)
We do hope these prices aren’t the finalized ones though, as it would alienate a lot of ASUS’ fans who loved the ASUS ZenFone 5z for its flagship killing price tag.
Pokdepinion: ASUS really wasn’t joking when they said they wanted to make phones for power users. Dual SIM and microSD simultaneously? That’s god-sent for those who use their phones for more than just Facebook!
