The Canon EOS M50 is their first 4K mirrorless camera. It’s powered by the DIGIC 8 image processor paired to a 24.1MP APS-C CMOS sensor. With its improved Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus and 3-inch 1.04 million dot Vari-angle LCD touchscreen, it is something that vloggers will certainly love. In case you’re wondering, yes, it does have a microphone jack.

If you wanted to capture a scene in the frame while you’re recording a video, the 4K Image-Grab function will allow you to grab the frame and convert it into a high-res image. The Touch and Drag autofocus feature will allow you to switch the focus of your subject simply by dragging your finger on the LCD touchscreen.

What is arguably the most interesting thing Canon Malaysia had in store during today’s launch event, the Canon Speedlite 470EX-AI is the first auto-intelligent flash in the world.

It uses auto-intelligent bounce technology, which means that the motors and sensors automates the adjusting, configuration, and tweaking of the conventional flash so it can provide users with the optimum angle and perfect light without you setting it yourself. It is meant more for beginners but even professionals can benefit from this.

The Canon Speedlite 470EX-AI comes in 2 modes; full-auto and semi-auto. Full-auto adjusts itself according to your surroundings and provides you with the illumination you need without thinking about it. The semi-auto mode is for intermediate and advanced users who wants to prioritize their control of light by changing the angle they want the flash to be, and the flash will remember it no matter how you hold it later on.

The Canon Speedlite 470EX-AI will be available in Malaysia end May 2018. The retail price for it has not been announced. We’ll be reporting it on Pokde.net as soon as information becomes available.

Pokdepinion: I suddenly feel like replacing my Canon 80D with the EOS M50. I mean, it’s a bit of a downgrade but I definitely do want a smaller camera. Maybe I’ll go ask my boss if he could get me one.
