ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has just announced their latest addition to their ROG Strix XG lineup. The ROG Strix XG438Q has all the features you would expect from a gaming monitor, but packs that into an expansive 43″ viewing area.

The ROG Strix XG438Q sports FreeSync 2 HDR, with a wide variable refresh range of 48 Hz to 120 Hz, allowing you to enjoy a fluid gaming experience at all times. There’s also Low Framerate Compensation to ensure that you won’t have choppy visuals even when your frame rates drop below the minimum refresh rate of the monitor.

Fluid visuals aren’t the only thing the ROG Strix XG438Q has to offer though. It meets the stringent VESA DisplayHDR 600 standards with 10-bit image processing and a peak 600 cd/m2, as well as local dimming to match VESA’s demanding black levels requirements. It also covers 90% of the DCI-P3 gamut, for an immersive color performance.

Even with all the features oriented towards an immersive gaming experience, ASUS did pack the ROG Strix XG438Q with their ASUS EyeCare Technology. The monitor also comes with the Eye Comfort Certification by TÜV Rheinland, ensuring low blue light output and flicker-free operation.
