Chinese Contest Sees Participants Hack Chrome, Safari, Edge And More
It’s safe to say that anyone would be displeased if they were hacked. Well over in China however, they are on the lookout for the next big thing (hacker) in the Tianfu Cup, China’s leading hacking competition.
The tournament is a two-day event where it sees security researches from the country to test zero-days against the world’s most popular software.
As you can probably guess, the contestants’ goal it to exploit softwares and app by utilizing new vulnerabilities.
In the tournament, it uses a scoring system, where not only the success of exploiting matters but as well as the time that it took them.
Among the apps that they needed to bypass include Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, iOS, MIUI, Office 365, and Adobe PDF Reader to name a few.
