E3 2018: Ubisoft Reveals The Division 2 DLC Plans, Raids, and More

At the Ubisoft press conference at E3 2018 today, Ubisoft showcased more footage of The Division 2. There is a cinematic trailer as well as a gameplay trailer that was published by Ubisoft to give gamers a clearer idea as to what we can expect from the game.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is set to the backdrop of Washington D.C. in crisis; Agents of The Division are tasked with pulling the city back from the brink amidst infighting of various factions. It is set roughly six months after the virus of the first game spread, and it doesn’t seem like what the players did in the first game stopped much of the chaos and anarchy that ensued if Washington’s jungle-filled appearance is any indicator.

This particular trailer is a cinematic introduction to the chaos-fueled world of The Division 2, which struggles to real back from the trauma of near-destruction. Developers promise that the game will offer a “compelling story-based campaign”, and that players will focus on 1 of 3 classes that will shape the path for the recovery of America: Sharpshooter; Demolitionist; Survivalist.

The Division 2 will also feature 8-player raids, shaping it to become a proper MMO. Additionally, Episodes 1, 2, and 3 of DLC will be available in Year 1 and will all be free. Things are looking really exciting for fans of the The Division.

A beta was recently announced and is available for interested parties at the game’s website. The game will be developed by the same folks involved in the original game’s development, including Massive Entertainment, Red Storm, and Ubisoft Reflections.

The Division 2 will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on 15th March 2019. For more developments and news at E3 2018, be sure to stay tuned to Pokde.net :)

Pokdepinion: Not gonna lie, I was expecting a battle royale twist somewhere and I’m glad this is the direction Ubisoft chose to go with.
