Fitbit does not operate in Malaysia? Or do they?
Fitbit, the famous fitness band and watch maker has been in the Malaysian market for some time already. We just saw the fitbit versa launched recently, but apparently Fitbit products are not sold in Malaysia. What?
There is actually a Fitbit official store on Lazada, something which is usually reserved for legit brand representatives. Fitbit claims to not sell their products here in Malaysia, thus they cannot honor the warranty directly. Because they don’t sell their products here in Malaysia.
FYI, @fitbit on their stance on their products not being sold in Malaysia and on not being able to assist with stolen products. Their response in point 3 is innacurate. But if you had a Fitbit in Malaysia and managed to access @FitbitSupport, do let me know. pic.twitter.com/VOyQbkLUQM

Sumisha Naidu, the tweeter who raised the issue, bought her unit from Geddit Dot Com, which claims to offer 1 year local manufacturer warranty.
The store did reply to a comment that warranty claims can be directed to Fitbit Malaysia. Which technically doesn’t exist now?
This entire fiasco raises more questions than answers. Is Fitbit actually operating here in Malaysia? If not, who is behind that official store on Lazada? We will be looking out for any further updates regarding this issue.
Pokdepinion: I am so confused right now. Are the Fitbit devices sold in Malaysia actually from Fitbit or not?
