GALAX experienced significant growth in Asia Pacific, and to celebrate that, this year they will be holding their prestigious annual GALAX Overclocking and Esports Carnival 2017 (GOC/GEC) in Bangkok Thailand this 25th November 2017.

Pushing GALAX beyond the limits

Overclockers worldwide know and respect the GALAX Hall of Fame brand, and for a good reason. The online qualifications stage for GOC is already over after over a month of intense extreme overclocking. Contestants used the GALAX GeForce GTX 1080 Ti HOF OC Lab Edition and GALAX DDR4 memory to beat each other for the highest scores. Only the best 12 remain, and they will compete against each other in Bangkok this 25th November.

OGS from Greece successful ran 3DMark Time Spy with an insane 2.7 GHz core frequency, while South African DrWeez locked in a high score of 12429. Four contestants also broke the world record of 7 sec 985 ms in GPU PI 1B with GALAX hardware. Phil with a 3.012 GHz core frequency managed to achieve 7 sec 765 ms in the benchmark, proving the robustness of GALAX hardware.

GALAX will also be holding the GALAX Esports Carnival in Bangkok, with local teams registered in October and will compete in the qualifying events for CS:GO in Thailand. The Grand Final will also be held in the same venue as the GOC. Teams vie for the 100 000 THB prize pool as they frag the opposing team in the rush to the top.
