GIGABYTE announced new gaming laptops with latest Intel Skylake

GIGABYTE has introduced its new gaming laptops in CES 2016 with latest Intel Skylake processor and NVIDIA Maxwell graphics.

Both new GIGABYTE P57W and P57K which not only shared the same body chassis but as I referred on spec sheet both laptop have almost identical hardware configuration. The GIGABYTE P57W available with either Intel Core i7 6820HK or Core i7 6700HQ mean while the GIGABYTE PK57K comes with only Intel Core i7 6700HQ.

On graphic department the GIGABYTE P57W sports with NVIDIA GTX 970M 3GB and the GIGABYTE P57K with NVIDIA GTX 965M 2GB. Both GIGABYTE P57W and P57K provide 17.3” with 1920x1080p IPS panel display.

Higher specification need more juice, the P57W comes with bigger battery capacity at 75.81Wh and 180W power adapter meanwhile the P57K will be using 60.8Wh with 150W power adapter.

Both GIGABYTE new gaming laptops also features M.2 PCIe SSD storage with transfer speed up to 2000MB/s, DDR4 memory so-dimm providing faster frequency at lower power demand, USB type 3.1 Type C connector. The entire GIGABYTE gaming laptop now includes a three months premium license of XSplit Gaming. For the moments there is no information about the price and availability date.

Pokdepinion: Another great gaming laptop joining the battlefield. I have a hunch that GIGABYTE should include optional graphics on the P57W, between the NVIDIA GTX 970M and GTX 980M.
