GSA Championship 2017 Grand Finals Concludes – With Taylor’s University And UNISEL Taking Top Spots!
The Garena Student Alliance 2017 recently concluded with Taylor’s University and UNISEL emerging as the campus champions for League of Legends (LOL) and EA Sports FIFA Online 3 (FO3).
GSA Championship 2017 Grand Finals Concludes
The first-ever Garena Student Alliance Championship was held at Asia Pacific University’s (APU) new campus at Bukit Jalil last weekend, with eventual winners being Taylor’s University and UNISEL.
They’ve won a total prize pool of RM62,000 which includes partial scholarships worth RM6000 for each individuals of the winning teams. For the League of Legends section, lucky 5 winners for the scholarship are students from Taylor’s University while three students from UNISEL claimed the reward for the FO3 tournament.
Being the host university and official venue partner, APU secured a commendable 2nd runner up positions for both League of Legends and FO3 competition. Filling up the Top 4 spots for League of Legends are Multimedia University (MMU) Cyberjaya and INTI University & College. Where else for FO3, it consists of University Teknikal Melaka (UTeM) and INTI Nilai.
Back in September Garena Malaysia announced ASUS ROG to be their official title sponsor for the GSA Championship 2017. With the completion of this year’s tournament, ASUS ROG acknowledges that the tournament is unique bridge between education and gaming, while hope for the GSA tournament to grow even further in the future.
