Here’s how to get dark mode on your Messenger app
One of the most wanted features in Facebook Messenger has to be Dark Mode, and while Facebook did push it out to a limited user base back in September 2018, it wasn’t offered for everyone. You could root your phone to enable it if you are really desperate, but most of us probably aren’t. Which is why it’s good news that Facebook has finally rolled out Dark Mode for everyone.
It seems that Facebook doesn’t want everyone to get onto Dark Mode, as they are still ironing out some bugs and what not. But if you are interested to try it out, all you need to do is send a moon emoji in any chat and you will receive a popup to enable dark mode as well.
This might be especially beneficial for those using AMOLED displays, as a darker display would mean result in the display consuming less power. Have you tried out Facebook Messenger’s Dark Mode yet? Let us know!
Pokdepinion: I am using it and it does seem somewhat jarring to see Messenger in black, especially after the recent update which made it even cleaner with more white elements.
