Hideo Kojima Says Death Stranding Critics Are Those Who Don’t Appreciate Art

If you are a gamer you will probably know the name Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear Solid series as well as the recently released game title, Death Stranding. The game has had its share of positive and negative reviews of which, he doesn’t sound too happy about.

If you hated the game, well that means that the game is simply too ‘deep’ for you, at least that’s what Kojima is trying to convey.

Recently in an interview session, it seems that he compared his Western fanbase to “brutes” who don’t appreciate good art.

Here’s what he had to say in the interview:

I must say that the game received rave reviews, especially in Europe and Japan. Here in the United States, however, we have had stronger criticism. Perhaps it is a difficult game to understand for a certain type of critic and audience.

He also states that the folks in America low first-person shooters and says that the game (Death Stranding) is not, which could be the explanation as to why for the criticisms.

Pokdepinion: Though he is a big figure in the gaming industry, I think he needs to accept some of the critics. If there were none of them, how would one progress and improve?
