You may have seen Samsung and HUAWEI coming up with their foldable devices, well now LG has join in on the bandwagon with their LG V50 ThinQ 5G.

As you can tell by its name, the LG V50 ThinQ offers 5G connectivity and it is their first device to offer such feature. It comes with a 6.4-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision Display with a 19:5:9 aspect ratio. It offers a 6.2-inch OLED screen for the second display for your viewing, gaming, and multitasking experience.

Audio wise, it is built with DTS:X technology onboard, assuring quality sound with clarity and depth. Additionally, there’s also support for Qualcomm aptX and aptX HD audio technology for a more premium Bluetooth audio quality and low latency.

It is powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC and runs on a 4000mAh battery. A new Vapor Chamber heat-dissipation system is also available where they’ve said to be more effective than conventional heat pipes to keep internal temperatures low.

Switching over to the LG G8 ThinQ, it comes with Crystal Sound OLED which uses the smartphone’s display as a speaker diaphragm. This eliminates the need for a front speaker.

With the phone, it introduces a world’s first palm vein authentication, which they say is more secure than your average fingerprint recognition sensor. It is possible thanks to the combination of the ToF Z Camera and infrared sensors that’s fitted in the G8.

Additionally, the Z Camera is implemented with Air Motion, where you can answer or end calls, take screenshots, switch between apps or adjust the phone’s volume without even touching the phone. All you need to do is simply wave a hand or pinch the air to give command.

It comes with a 6.2-inch FHD+ OLED FullVision Display and there’s also a Boombox Speaker for those who really love their bass. DTS:X is available and the phone also supports Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) technology, allowing for compressed high-resolution audio streaming without compromising sound quality.

Other specifications include a Snapdragon 855 processor, a 3350mAh battery, an 8MP selfie shooter, and three rear cameras which consists of a 13MP wide lens, 12MP main lens, and finally a 12MP telephoto lens.

Pokdepinion: Guess we’ll never see both devices here in Malaysia. LG seems to be not interested in the market here..
