It has been spreading all over the internet that HMD Global, the home of Nokia smartphones will be launching a new X-series in China this Friday, April 27 2018.

Nokia X6 (2018)

Nokia X6 Comes With Notch - Reportedly To Launch On April 27 26

Nokia X6 (2018) reported renders of the device

As reported by GSMArena, the device from the company will be called the Nokia X6. The device is not to be confused with the original bulky 2010 model though.

As you can see at the render of the smartphone, it shows of a notch above at the display, making it the company’s first device to wear a notch (which you can see many smartphones of today’s market implementing it).

Usually found at the top of the device, the Nokia logo this time around had to make way for the notch and is implemented at the low bottom right corner of the Nokia X6. As for the back, it looks quite similar to the design on the Nokia 7, which was launched recently here in Malaysia along with the Nokia 1.

Reportedly, the device is set to feature a 5.8-inch display with a 19:9 ratio display. In addition to that, reports have suggested that there will be two variants of the device. With one using a Snapdragon 636 chipset with 6GB of RAM, while the other uses a MediaTek Helio P60 that comes with 4GB RAM instead.

They should come out with Android 8.0 Oreo on the go, with the company’s focus on giving the best Android experience and should be Android One certified.

While there hasn’t been any word of it’s release in Malaysia just yet, we might get more info on the device when it does comes out in the China. Until then, stay tuned for more info!

Pokdepinion: Details are scarce and much is still hidden. Still, we can expect the Snapdragon variant to be higher priced that the MediaTek rendition, also because of the RAM that they come in as well. It kind of annoys me that majority of the companies are going for the notch look.  What do you think? Do you like notches in smartphones? Let us know!
