Design wise, it took inspiration from the not-yet-released OPPO F9 (well atleast, not in Malaysia it hasn’t) with its ‘Water Drop’ design.
Coming in with two color variants, pink and blue, the R17 features an under-display fingerprint sensor, which was first introduced by vivo. It comes with a 6.4-inch FHD display and features the new Gorilla Glass 6.
Powering it up is the new mid-range Snapdragon 670 chipset, that comes with AI capabilities. For cameras, it sports a dual 16MP+5MP main camera setup and a 25MP shooter for your selfies.
Under the hood is a 3500mAh battery and it comes with a USB Type-C port. You can also utilize OPPO’s famed VOOC charging technology where you can get 2 hours of talk time when you charge the device for five minutes.
Pokdepinion: I hardly say this to OPPO phones, but the specifications are looking attractive indeed. Hopefully it does comes out here in Malaysia.
