During the company’s “Future Plan Product Strategy” presentation at the Chinese New Year Prosperity Dinner, CEO Dr. Li Chunrong, revealed plans to launch one NEV model soon, followed by a second one within the next six to eight months. These upcoming models are part of their broader strategy to expand its powertrain portfolio and gain a competitive edge in the market.

Dr. Li Chunrong emphasized Proton’s commitment to achieving the top rank in after-sales service. The company aims to enhance its powertrain offerings, including the launch of a new-generation engine, to further strengthen its market position.

In 2023, Proton experienced significant growth, achieving its fifth consecutive year of sales growth with total sales (domestic and export) reaching 154,611 units. This marked a 9.3% increase compared to the 141,432 units sold in 2022, showcasing Proton’s robust performance in the automotive market. Pokdepinion: Anything out of the usual petrol vehicles would be very exciting to look forward to. Me personally, I just hope it’s more SUVs, I really love taller cars as it’s more comfortable to drive around with.
