You may remember a couple of months ago that Sony, in collaboration with Capcom will be releasing a special Monster Hunter version of the PS4 Pro, to the delight of gamers everywhere. However, when it was announced that it would be a Japan exclusive many fans had their hopes dashed a smidge. Well here’s some good news Monster Hunter fans! Sony Interactive Entertainment Hong Kong Limited Singapore Branch (SIES) announced today that the PlayStation 4 Pro Monster Hunter: World Rathalos Edition will be releasing in Malaysia this coming January! (Cue fan screams)
The PS4 Pro Monster Hunter: World Rathalos Edition is a CUH-7100 series and will have a 1TB hard disk space. The console will also be available in limited quantities (so get them while you can!).
The design of this PS4 Pro is just beautiful with a glossy silhouette of an angered Rathalos—a popular monster from the MONSTER HUNTER series—firing flares from its mouth emblazoned across the console. A gold printed logo of the game as well as certain icons can also be seen on the console.
As if this thing doesn’t already look as boss as ever, the PlayStation 4 Pro Monster Hunter: World Rathalos Edition comes bundled together with its own specially designed DualShock 4 controller. The bundled controller is adorned with the wings of a wyvern and is red in colour, just like the colour of the wyvern’s flame.
That’s not all folks! This special edition PS4 Pro comes together with a physical Blu-Ray copy of Capcom’s upcoming action role-playing game, Monster Hunter World, which will arrive at our shores on 26 January next year. An exclusive Monster Hunter PS4 theme and extra downloadable content will also be included with the console.
The PlayStation 4 Pro Monster Hunter: World Rathalos Edition will be available for purchase in Malaysia sometime in end of January for the retail price of RM 2048 (slightly more expensive than the normal PS4 Pro, mind you). Those who purchase the console will also get a 3 month PlayStation Plus membership and a 1-year PlayStation extended warranty service voucher card.
For the actual Monster Hunter World game itself, as mentioned above it will release on 26 January 2018 and will retail for RM 249 for the Digital Version and RM 273 for the Digital Deluxe Version.
