The whole situation rose back when when Apple filed a report against Qualcomm, claiming that they were charging excessive royalties. Following that, the chipmaker company then sued Apple for infringing on other patents due to a power management feature embedded in iOS, which led to the banning of iPhones in several countries.

The news that they have settled their differences could mean that Apple may be on their way to feature 5G modems in their future iPhones.
