Redmi outfits K20 Pro with pure gold and sells it for more than RM28 000
Don’t want to be caught dead with a “cheap” phone but find the Redmi K20 Pro the perfect smartphone for you? Well, Redmi has created the solution for you. Instead of pursuing even higher specs — which I must add is not really viable given the K20 Pro already packs a Snapdragon 855 — Redmi decided to release a Redmi K20 Pro Signature Edition that’s made out of gold.
Introducing the signature edition #RedmiK20Pro, made of gold. Not gold plated, it’s made of real gold and embellished with diamonds.
We will be making 20 limited units of this phone worth ₹4,80,000 each.#BelieveTheHype #FlagshipKiller pic.twitter.com/STJsNcub0W

The Redmi K20 Pro Signature Edition is not just gold-plated, but actually made out of gold with diamond embellishments. It might be an option for Android enthusiasts who are sick of their iPhone-toting friends calling them cheapskates, and decides to show them who’s boss. Or just someone who is ridiculously irresponsible with their finances.
If you are interested in picking one up, the Redmi K20 Pro Signature Edition goes for ₹4,80,000 (~RM28672), with only 20 units ever made. The specifications are similar with the regular version:
Redmi K20 Pro Signature Edition Specs
- Snapdragon 855, octa-core up to 2.84 GHz, 7nm FinFET
- Up to 8GB RAM
- Up to 256GB UFS 2.1 storage
- 6.39″ FHD+ AMOLED display, notchless
- 48MP f/1.75 + 8MP f/2.4 telephoto + 13MP f/2.4 ultra-wide angle
- 20MP f/2.0 selfie camera, popup
- 4000 mAh battery
- ₹4,80,000 (~RM28672)
I would definitely be looking around to see if there are any soil oysters in Malaysia using a shiny gold phone with diamonds in it.
