Replacing / Repairing iPhone XS Max Screen Can Cost Up to RM2,500

The Apple iPhone is definitely the furthest thing away from being an affordable smartphone. It can cost quite a sum of money to own one, and it will also cost quite a bit if there is a need to repair it. Screen replacements are one of the most expensive replacements of any smartphone, and if you’re wondering what it’s like to replace that for the iPhone XS Max, then prepare for a heart attack.

According to the official Apple support page, only replacing the screen of the Apple iPhone XS Max will cost USD $329 (approximately RM1,400). However, if they found that there are other damages aside from the display, that cost will bump up to USD $599 (approximately RM2,500).

To put that to perspective, you get a Pocophone F1 and still have some spare change if it’s just replacing the screen, and two Pocophone F1s or even a Huawei P20 Pro if they found any additional damages.

Even the other iPhone models listed such as the iPhone XR still costs quite a bit to replace the screen, although it is definitely a price that is easier to swallow compared to the other latest models.

Of course, this may differ a little when you actually head to an Apple Store in Malaysia but at least you have an idea of what to look forward to if it happens to you. If you are planning to get yourself one of the new iPhones, make sure to get a good protective case and a tempered glass to save yourself from potential mental scars upon receiving physical scars on your new devices.
