Earlier this month, we received an invite to a Samsung event with the words 4X Fun. 4X Fun, now what could that be? According to the German page AllAboutSamsung, it’s going to be a quad-rear camera setup on the unannounced Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Pro.

Seems pretty legit?

The leak goes on to claim the four rear cameras will consist of an 8MP 120° FoV wide-angle camera, a 24MP primary rear camera, and 10MP + 5MP telephoto cameras. No idea why would there be two telephoto cameras, so do take this with a pinch of salt. Selfie aficionados will probably find joy with the 24MP front camera.

The Samsung A9 Star Pro is purportedly going to feature a Snapdragon 660, which we will probably not see because we usually get Exynos chipsets in our Samsung smartphones, and a large 6.28″ Super AMOLED display and an equally huge 3720 mAh battery.

Well, hold your horses until the 11th October, as we will be attending the event too to find out what is Samsung unveiling!

Pokdepinion: No idea why would you need four rear cameras, but we never knew we needed three, or even two either. The more the merrier?
