Konami and Cygames announced a Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner remake for the PlayStation 4 and PC. It will support 4K resolution for both platforms.

Zone of the Enders Remake Confirmed

Following the recent string of announcements at Sony Interactive Entertainment’s pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference, Konami released the first 4K screenshots and the trailer in English for the upcoming Zone of the Enders remake Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner M∀RS.

Of course, this also confirms that the game is coming west, and on top of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR, it will also come for PC to Steam and the Steam VR platform. All hail #PCMasterRace.

The game will support 4K resolution on the PS4 Pro and on PC (for those of you with machines that can handle it), and in the video, you can see a comparison between the original visuals, HD resolution and 4K (in order from left to right).

For those of you who aren’t aware, Zone of the Enders; 2nd Runner initially released for the PlayStation 2. It’s a 3rd-person mecha shooter/slasher game that many people enjoyed as it was one of the most visually-pleasing games available at that time. Also, the game provided quite a bit of a challenge, so it wasn’t something anyone can finish.

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner M∀RS is currently being developed by Cygames for Konami, and will be released in the spring of 2018.

Pokdepinion: I remember Zone of the Enders being the game with the most mind-blowing visuals during the PlayStation 2. Experiencing this in VR might give me headaches but I’m still gonna try it out anyways.
