ASUS upgraded the Compute Stick ASUS QM1 with Intel Cherry Trail
ASUS has introduced a Compute Stick that runs full Windows OS that looks pretty much like a clone of the Intel Compute Stick but in just a short time after the initial version’s release, ASUS has revealed an upgraded version of the ASUS QM1 Compute Stick.
The new ASUS QM1 now comes with a Intel Atom X5-Z8300 Cherry Trail processor unlike the predecessor, the QM1-B002 which touted an Intel Atom Z3735F Bay Trail processor.
The new model is called ASUS QM1-c6006, sports 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a USB 2.0 and microSD card slot. In-term of connectivity it has a HDMI 1.4a connector while supporting Wireless N and Bluetooth 4.0 standards. Measuring in at 4.4 x 1.5 x 0.4 inches it runs full Windows 10 Home Edition.
The ASUS QM1 sells for around USD 194, approximately MYR840, but currently Malaysians will still have to wait as there are no official announcement over here in Malaysia yet.
Pokdepinion: Taking a look at the price, with approximately MYR 840, is the ASUS QM1 worth it? For me, yes, but it depends on your usage. If you intend to have a very low power PC and do simple daily task like internet browsing, movie streaming and word processing this stick might be a good option.
