The Pixel 4 XL snaps in four places when bent

Now bend tests aren’t something we do in our reviews, but I believe all of us know that YouTuber who does it routinely. Yep, it’s Zack from JerryRigEverything. He got his hands on the Pixel 4 XL, and it was just not up to snuff when put through his bend test.

Aside from not having the toughest of security measures, the Pixel 4 XL is also apparently structurally flawed. The device just snapped in four points along the coated aluminium frame, with the weak points being the antenna lines which are hidden under the sleek matte coating material.

Notably, the Pixel 4 XL’s weak points aren’t nearly as severe as some of the other devices which just snap in two along the center, and the device still works even with the cracks, but it would still be horrifying to find such a premium device being so prone to damage.

So yeah, the Pixel 4 XL won’t be surviving bend tests like a champ, but it’s still undeniable that it is one of the best camera phones out there. There are issues with it, but which smartphone doesn’t?

Pokdepinion: Imagine sitting down to have dinner and hearing a large crack from your pocket. Cold sweat ensues.
