Wiko to merge with Tinno; new smartphones to be released at MWC 2018!
Wiko is no stranger to the competitive smartphone market. Founded in Marseille, they have worked closely with Tinno Group to deliver unique smartphones. Wiko brought its market expertise, consumer focused strategy and unique sales organization with Tinno’s industrial know-how and production capabilities. After 7 years of close partnership, Wiko and Tinno are now announcing their merger.
In the time span of 7 years, Tinno has grown its expertise in R&D, engineering and manufacturing with 4 R&D centers and 2 production sites. Meanwhile Wiko has established itself in more than 30 countries worldwide and is now a top 5 smartphone brand in Western Europe.
This merger will see Laurent Dahan, Wiko’s founder, and James Lin, chairman of Tinno Group co-piloting the company to new levels. With more than 30 million users in 30 countries worldwide, this merger will allow the brand to release more innovative smartphones by bringing everything under one roof.
Wiko will showcase its new releases during MWC 2018.
Pokdepinion: Hopefully Wiko will now bring in bigger guns. The entry-level smartphones they have in our market are just insufficient to whet our appetites.
