ZOTAC has updated the ZBOX specifications from the Intel Core M to the latest Intel Skylake quad-core processor, packing more processing power along with more powerful graphics in the same compact footprint. The new ZBOX MI551 comes with an Intel Core i5 6400T, a quad-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and goes up to 2.8 GHz with turbo.

The ZOTAC MI551 features 2 DisplayPorts and 1 HDMI, supporting up to three displays or the option of enjoying immersive 4K content at 60Hz. There are many more features crammed into the tiny ZOTAC MI551, includes the latest USB 3.1 with both type A and type C connectors. You can enjoy up to 10Gbs transfer speeds, double the speeds of USB 3.0. More about connectivity, the unit has Bluetooth 4.0 and wireless AC.

By default, the ZOTAC MI551’s default drive will will be in the M.2 SATA slot; you can install and frequently used software here to reduce the start up time drastically. If you need more storage capacity, there is a single 2.5 inch SATA drive slot available for bulk storage.

The ZOTAC MI551 comes complete ready-to-use instead of being a bare-bones PC. This means you don’t need to buy any other hardware unless you want to upgrade. The ZOTAC MI551 comes with pre-instaledl 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3L and 120GB M.2 SATA for OS installation.

Pokdepinion: If you are getting this product, there are several options for upgrades. The RAM must be of the DDR3L variety as higher voltage RAM module could damage the Intel Skylake processor over time. For more storage, a 1TB Seagate SSHD would be a great upgrade.
