Haier Malaysia has introduced the Horizon Collection range of multi-door refrigerators alongside a new dishwasher model at its roadshow event. Patrick Seow, Chief Operating Officer of Haier Malaysia, said many Malaysian households now stock up for one to two weeks at a time and are more focused on storage organization, freshness and kitchen aesthetics, which informed the direction of the Horizon Collection.

Freshness technology is positioned as a central element of the Horizon Collection – Haier brought what it claimed as the world’s first industry-leading preservation technology called Nutribank, which keeps meat fresh for up to 10 days while retaining more than 95% of its protein content. The Active Fresh Zone maintains humidity at 90% to keep fruits and vegetables fresh for up to seven days with more than 98% Vitamin C retention, while ABT Pro antibacterial technology removes up to 99.9999% of bacteria and odors from the refrigerator interior.
Storage capacity across the collection exceeds 820L, which Haier said equates to around 38 grocery bags or seven large shopping carts. The freezer compartment offers 35L of capacity, again claimed as the largest in the market. Adjustable cantilever shelves and a Day Light interior panel are designed to improve visibility and organization, while a Smart Window panel and Welcome Light activate as users approach the unit. Selected models also include an Auto Water Dispenser and Dual Ice Maker features as well.
New Haier Dishwasher & SpaceFit Series
The new Haier dishwasher (HDWA18-686BK5MY) accommodates 18 place settings and is designed with Asian dishware in mind. It uses a 60,000Pa inverter motor with 5D dual-side washing, 80°C Micro Steam Wash and UV sterilization, resulting in what Haier describes as a cleanliness index of 1.3. An AI Wash function detects the level of soiling and selects the appropriate wash program automatically. A 240-Hour Smart Storage mode maintains hygiene after washing by cycling through auto door opening and closing, fresh air circulation and UV sterilization to keep dishes dry and odor-free.
Haier has also introduced the SpaceFit series of integrated kitchen appliances, including a 325mm ultra-thin range hood with automatic lifting, a 40mm ultra-thin gas hob with an upper intake system, and a steam combi oven with patented dual water box technology for separating fresh water and wastewater circulation.
