The Future Innovation Tech Expo 2026 (FIX 2026) officially opened on 21 October 2026 at EXCO in Daegu, South Korea, under the theme “AI, beyond Tech into reality.” Hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City, the FIX 2026 expo runs until 24 October and brings together global players in AI, robotics, autonomous vehicles, and urban air mobility for a four-day showcase of emerging technologies.

The opening ceremony welcomed approximately 100 distinguished attendees, including Daegu Mayor Kyung-ho Choo, HD Hyundai Vice Chairman Seok Cho, Doosan Robotics CEO Youngmin Kwon, General Motors Technical Center Korea President Brian McMurray, and Seoul National University Professor Kyujin Cho, among other senior government and industry figures.
FIX 2026 Exhibition Highlights: Robots, Drones, and Autonomous Vehicles
A guided booth tour following the opening ceremony covered a range of showcase areas. The UAM Special Pavilion featured the airframe of Germany’s Volocopter, while Hyundai Motor Company displayed its unmanned firefighting robot and autonomous driving AI technology called ATRIA AI. NT1, Neolix’s domestic partner in Korea, demonstrated the autonomous delivery vehicle RoboVan, and HD Hyundai Robotics exhibited dual-arm robotic systems.

Doosan Robotics introduced its Scan&Go solution, which received the CES 2026 Best of Innovation Award. MegazoneCloud, described as Asia’s largest cloud management service provider, also featured in the exhibition tour.
Other technologies on display included an AI-powered unmanned robotic convenience store platform, an AI-driven odour mitigation platform, and a specialised robotic navigation system for fracture surgery, all positioned as practical applications of AI in everyday life.
Keynote Speakers and Interactive Programmes at FIX 2026
The afternoon programme featured keynote sessions from leading international experts. Professor Kyujin Cho of Seoul National University opened with a presentation titled “The Age of Discovery for Physical AI Robots.” Further addresses followed from GM Technical Center Korea President Brian McMurray, Vector Institute Professor Xiaoxiao Shaun Li on multimodal AI research, and PAL Robotics CEO Francesco Ferro.

Visitor-facing interactive programmes ran alongside the exhibition, including a Volocopter UAM boarding experience, drone piloting and target strike challenges, a generative AI studio at the KT AI Station, ice cream and drip coffee preparation robots, autonomous RoboVan demonstrations, and electric vehicle test drives.
FIX 2026 is open to the public from 21 to 24 October 2026, with operating hours from 10.00am to 5.00pm daily, closing at 4.00pm on Saturday. For visitors travelling from outside Daegu, circular shuttle buses operate between Dongdaegu Station and EXCO at intervals of 30 minutes to one hour.

Pokdepinion: An AI expo with an ice cream robot and a Volocopter ride sounds less like a tech conference and more like a high tech theme park – And we are really loving it here!
