ASUS recently announced the ROG Strix GS-BE18000 Wi-Fi 7 gaming router, featuring a total wired capacity of 20Gbps via seven 2.5GbE LAN ports and one 2.5GbE WAN port, along with tri-band wireless throughput of up to 18,000Mbps through 320MHz channels.

The GS-BE18000 features a 2.0GHz quad-core processor with optimized cooling pathways, along with 2GB DDR4 memory to handle peak demands; the router is also equipped with eight internal antennas enhanced by six copper tubes and independent front-end modules (FEMs). All told, this offers signal coverage of up to 3,300 square feet, large enough to fully cover relatively large houses or similarly-sized offices.
Another selling point of this router is the two dedicated 2.5GbE LAN ports that ASUS says “automatically [prioritizes] gaming traffic from connected devices without the need for manual configuration.” It also features ASUS Smart Home Master which, among its features, allows supported devices to connect dedicated SSIDs with latest Wi-Fi technologies (such as Multi-Link Operation, or MLO) enabled for best performance. This applies to dedicated IoT networks for enhanced security, or even kids-only networks with additional parental controls enabled.
On the subject of security, the ROG Strix GS-BE18000 includes ASUS’s own Triple-Level Network Security with AiProtection Pro, a one-tap security scan, and Safe Browsing; the unit also features customizable RGB lighting via the router’s iridescent ROG logo, because what else makes a gaming product truly gaming-focused than having RGB lighting?
Availability for the ROG Strix GS-BE18000 in Malaysia will be announced at a later date, the company confirms.
