The Wave 7 delivers speeds up to 6400Mbps with Wi-Fi 7, thanks to features like Multi-Link Operation (MLO) technology for simultaneous data transmission across 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz frequencies, which helps increase throughput and reduce downtime due to signal degradation. The router also includes Gigabit LAN ports and built-in WPA security for added peace of mind. That being said, Acer is splitting the router into two configurations: one with 2.4GHz + 5GHz, and the other with 2.4GHz + 6GHz, so make your choice carefully.

On the other hand, the Predator Connect W6x supports Wi-Fi 6 with speeds up to 6000Mbps. It comes with a powerful quad-core processor (Acer didn’t say which), 1GB of DDR4 RAM, and 256GB ROM for smooth gaming performance. Additionally, the router offers remote network control via the Predator Connect utility app (coming in July) and features four GbE LAN ports for wired connection, plus a 2.5GbE WAN port enabling the use of fastest ISP plans on offer today.

The Acer Wave 7 will be available in Q2 for NA, and July for EMEA regions starting from EUR 119, while the Predator Connect W6x is set at EUR 129, with the same release timeframe for both regions.

Pokdepinion: I wonder why the Wave 7 doesn’t come with tri-band support. Cost?
