Leaks has recently emerged on the web to reveal the packaging design of Intel’s upcoming Core Ultra 200K series (codenamed Arrow Lake) desktop CPUs, and as you can expect from a major rebranding to supersede the original Core series, the boxes now have fresh new looks as well.

As per the convention of desktop CPU launches, the new lineup will first feature the three overclockable models – Core Ultra 9 285K, a Core Ultra 7 model, and a Core Ultra 5 model (while not explicitly mentioned, these can be presumed as CU7 265K and CU5 245K, given their prominence in leaks in the past). One important clue is the “Series 2” label, which is Intel’s official way of referring these lineups (though the tech sphere has largely referred them as 200 series for ease).

Naturally, the top chip gets a special package – however, gone is the small scale model of the silicon wafer, and in comes… it’s still unclear what exactly is depicted from the image. Still, all three boxes will now get a black packaging, with spots of dark blue in line with Core Ultra’s branding thus far.

If leaks are any indication, we should be able to see these chips launch sometime next month, as Intel is reportedly gearing up for an announcement by then. The launch will likely see only the three aforementioned chips (alongside the launch of Z890 series motherboards), with more to follow at a later date.
